GUIDED FLY FISHING

DECKERS TAILWATER

The Deckers section of the South Platte River is one of Colorado’s most technical and productive tailwaters. With a variety of water types and miles of fishable water, Deckers offers something for anglers of all skill levels. Known for consistent, year-round fishing and rich bug life, it’s our go-to destination for a rewarding day on the water.

Located about 1 hour from Denver and Colorado Springs.

SOUTH PARK

South Park offers some of Colorado’s most diverse and scenic fly fishing opportunities. This high-country region includes a variety of well-known fisheries such as the Dream Stream, Tomahawk State Wildlife Area, Badger Basin, Ranch 63, and the waters around Alma. Anglers can expect everything from broad meadow streams with plenty of sight-fishing opportunities to productive tailwaters known for holding larger trout.

Each location offers something unique from the technical, open water of the Dream Stream to quieter stretches like Tomahawk and Badger Basin, where complex currents and often spooky fish reward thoughtful presentations. With consistent trout populations, expansive water, and stunning scenery, South Park is an ideal destination for anglers seeking variety, challenge, and the chance to target quality fish in a true high-country setting.

South Park also has incredible Stillwater opportunities. We offer guided trips at Antero and Terryall Reservoirs, both great options for a relaxed day on the water with the opportunity to target large fish. Lakes are good alternatives during runoff, when many rivers and streams are running high or off-color.

PRIVATE WATER

Private water offers a more relaxed experience. We guide select properties such as the Meadows on the North Fork of the South Platte and Rainbow Falls on Trout Creek. With low angling pressure, these fisheries are well-suited for targeting quality trout while enjoying the comfort of uncrowded water.

Private water is also an excellent option for larger groups, including family gatherings and corporate outings. Having water reserved exclusively for your group allows everyone to fish together without the need to split into multiple parties, keeping the day seamless and productive.

fishing guide Dalton Glenn

Guide

Dalton Glenn is a native of Pine, Colorado and grew up fly fishing on the South Platte River. As someone who loves the outdoors, Dalton progressed his style and expanded his education by spending plenty of time on the water. He enjoys sharing his knowledge, especially when it comes to euro nymphing. This very effective approach uses a tight line with a longer rod, no indicator and a long, thin leader in order to sink weighted flies to the bottom quickly without using split shot. Dalton has perfected this technique on the South Platte, helping all clients improve their success on the water. Dalton is an expert at tying his own flies. In the summer, you’ll find him bushwhacking to high alpine lakes in search of native cutthroats
